Advisors,

Pardon my mistake, I did not realize i didnt need to send the minutes  
to you all unless
it really concerned you. The meeting was mainly about officer  
training, but since so many
are asking for them I will include them in this email.

o        Before school is let out, The Area VPs should have your Area  
Workshop dates set,
working around SAT, ACT, and Dance Dates.
o        The officers should talk with their respective advisers about  
those accompanying them
to officer training, and to remind him/her to gather the FBLA  
materials assigned
o        The person accompanying must be an adviser or assistant adviser
?        Officer Training Attire- Lina
o        The blazers, ties, polo?s, and T-shirts will be distributed  
at training
o        Guys need khaki pants brown or black shoes, matching belt,  
and a white and red dress
shirt
o        Girls need a khaki shirt, both red and white shirts, and dress shoes
o        No jeans
o        There will be two dress up sessions with blazers
o        All days will have casual attire.
?        Business Cards- Lina
o        All officers should have business cards made and brought with  
them to training
o        Order them online at vistaprint.com
o        Name, position, school, school address, school phone, and  
FBLA email should be printed
on them, but don't put your personal email, home address, or personal  
phone. You can
write a cell phone number on the back when appropriate.
?        Officer training- Lina
o        Prepare a three-minute speech on some aspect of free  
enterprise. Your performance will
be assessed at officer training.
o        Prepare team-building activity to insure we have a fun time  
at training, make sure it
includes 25 participants. Bring 25 copies of instructions.
o        In addition, bring contact information on 5 schools in your  
area that do not have FBLA
chapters, in hopes to increase membership. Contact information  
includes school name,
principal name, and address
o        Please write a draft letter addressed to the principal  
introducing FBLA and telling
him/her about the program, its benefits, and how to start a chapter,  
bring 25 copies.
o        The draft letter for the principals will be revised at  
officer training.

o        Please set up an AIM account and send it to Mr. Skiles; it  
has helped with
communication between officers in the past.
o        At training, you will be given info on your website that the  
officers will be
responsible for keeping updated. Mr. Skiles
