NLC Information/DEADLINES

(Please print and be sure you read everything carefully!)

 

Competitor Verification

1.	An email was sent earlier with competitor information.  Please
read the instructions and submit information required by Wednesday,
March 28.

 

Competitor Registration

1.	All materials must be received by Friday, May 4.  Please mail
to:  Texas FBLA, c/o Traci Buckner, PO Box 100, Ore City TX  75683.
This includes:

	1.	Reports (2 copies):  American Enterprise, Business
Financial Plan, Business Plan, Community Service, Local Chapter Annual
Business Report, Partnership with Business Report, and State Annual
Business Report
	2.	Disks (2 copies):  C++, Digital Video Production,
Electronic Career Portfolio, JAVA, Multimedia Presentation, and Visual
Basic.
	3.	Statement of Assurance (these will be sent to you) for:
Digital Video Production, E-Business, Multimedia Presentation, and
Website Development
	4.	Resume & Letter of Application (six of each in separate,
labeled folders)
	5.	Production materials for all skills test

2.	I will mail all competitor information and materials to the
national office.

fill out a form and send in.

 

Shirts & Spirit Items

1.	Completed form must be emailed by Friday, May 4 so items can be
ordered and delivered in time for the conference. 

 

Chapter Registration

Instructions for registration:

1.	Go to the national website, NLC page at:  
http://www.fbla-pbl.org/default.asp?c=100&p=2007
2.	Click "NLC 2007 Online Registration"; you will then Click the
chapter registration option
3.	Enter your chapter number and national password (this is not the
password used for state registration) 
4.	Register your chapter 
5.	Save a copy of the Registration Confirmation page (which shows
all attendees that are registered).  You may also copy/paste to a Word
document.
6.	Print a page for your records 
7.	Email me a copy of the confirmation page. 
8.	Payment may be made by check, purchase order or credit card.
All information will be available on the registration page.  June 1st is
the deadline to receive early bird registration fees. 

 

Hotel/Flight Information

1.	Information from NTS is attached to this email and will also be
available on the website.   The online booking form will be available in
a couple of days; I will email you with the address as soon as it is
ready.    
2.	Your hotel arrangements must be made through the travel agency
whether you fly or drive to the conference.  The conference hotels are
already booked and they are still trying to find rooms for some states.
They are aware that Texas uses a travel agency and will not book any
individual rooms outside the allotted number for our block.  
	
	

Home Skills Testing

1.	Testing materials will be sent to chapters as soon as I receive
them.  I must receive them back by May 4th with the other items that are
due.

 

Adviser Information

I need the following summer contact information for each adviser that
will be attending NLC:

*	Home address  
*	Home phone number 
*	Home email 

 

Texas Advisers have been assigned to coordinate Digital Video Production
Prelims on June 29.  I will be assigning 16 advisers (8 for the
morning/8 for the afternoon) to this duty.  There will also be a meeting
for administrators and coordinators on June 28 at 4:00 pm. The national
office also requests help for the social.  I will need approximately 4
advisers for that.  

 

If you would like to volunteer for a duty it would be helpful.
Otherwise I will be making the assignments.  

 

Please mark your calendars and pay attention to the deadlines listed
above.  These deadlines must be adhered to as I have to meet national
deadlines.
