To All Chapter Advisers:

The position of Texas FBLA Reporter/Historian is open and will be filled by
appointment. We are looking for a student who will seek and publish quality
information for the state publications and web site, will develop and
publish at least three web-based state newsletters, will maintain the
history of Texas FBLA, and will work with the Secretary and President to
write the State Chapter Business Report. In addition, the candidate
selected and an adviser must attend officer training in Fort Worth, June
10-14, the officer must attend Mid-Year Planning, and the officer and an
adviser must attend the next SLC in Houston. All expenses for required
meetings for the officer will be covered; all adviser expenses to Officer
Training will be covered. Please read the State Officer Application for
full details.

If you have a candidate, please complete the Officer Application and *e-mail
it to me by April 2*. The $180 for officer uniforms will be submitted only
by the officer who is appointed. If an officer application is already on
file for this year, the student should e-mail a request to be considered for
the office of Reporter/Historian and include a good paragraph why he/she is
qualified for this new position.

If you have questions, *try* to email me at
*bscott at Aledo.k12.tx.us*<bscott at Aledo.k12.tx.us>(our system is VERY
selective about what gets through!) or call me at home
at 817.441.9254 or on my cell at 817.266.9704. My school phone is
817.441.8711 x 1328.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Betty Scott
