I know many of you are just coming back from spring break and are swamped
right now, but I wanted to express my thanks to all of you who attended
SLC for your help.  SLC cannot be successful without everyone pitching in
and that is exactly what I saw in El Paso.  There were, of course,
glitches, but for the most part things ran very smoothly.  It is because
of everyone pulling together and helping out that we are able to continue
to have successful SLC's.

Those of you who were unable to attend were missed.  I think that even
without the competition, this is a great conference for the students to
network and learn more about leadership.

We are already planning SLC for next year in Houston.  If anyone would
like to volunteer to help there are always a number of jobs that need to
be filled.  Jeannine Ellaby and advisers from Area V  have come up with
some great ideas, but I am sure they are open to any suggestions.

-The adviser critique sheets from El Paso will be closely looked at and
all suggestions and ideas for changes will be considered.

-Results from El Paso will be posted on the web site soon.

-Judges sheets from presentation events in El Paso can be received by
emailing mhudson at pisd.edu and requesting which school and event and
providing your fax number.  The sheets are being organized by school at
this point and I will probably have them done by the end of the week.  I
will fax them to you, but please don't expect an immediate turn around.  I
will have to do this on my conference period and after school.

-If you are planning to attend NLC in Chicago, please email Traci Buckner
TODAY at bucknert at ocisd.net and tell her approximately how many hotel
rooms you will need for students and adults.  There are many events going
on in Chicago while we are there, so consequently, there is a shortage of
available hotel rooms.  We are trying to let nationals know ASAP how many
rooms we will need.

Again, thank you for all your help with FBLA this year.  Please let me
know if there is anything I can do to help you.
